Manitou Incline Overlook

1.6 miles into the hike you will reach the incline overlook. This is a point not quite halfway up the Manitou Incline where the trails nearly connect. On the Manitou Incline trail it is called the bailout point because those ascending may exit the Manitou Incline before getting into the steepest terrain. If you choose to begin your trip up the Barr Trail using the Manitou Incline, keep this point in mind as you may find carrying a full pack up a 45 degree slope to be a bit much.
